Michael Kinney came to the Thunderdome Wrestling League from the Grendal Table Tennis Federation (GTTF), where he competed as MK-ULTRA. He became a seven-time Concordia Table Tennis World Cup champion and reached the final round thirteen times.
Kinney's championship record was matched by a notorious disciplinary history. Each of his thirteen unsuccessful finals ended in disqualification, and the GTTF eventually created a new category during the MK-ULTRA era: Roughing the Ref.
TWL recognized that volatile intensity as arena potential and brought the table-tennis champion into its expanding competition roster.
